Volunteer Opportunities
The Towne House has a variety of volunteer opportunities for
our residents and individuals from the surrounding communities.
While most of our volunteers would tell you that they enjoy volunteering
for the intrinsic rewards, they also appreciate the other “perks”
of being part of the volunteer program at The Towne House. Volunteers
are regularly commended for their important contributions. They
may also receive other tokens of appreciation, such as gift certificates
for the Towne and Country Café at The Towne House.
Some of the volunteer opportunities at The Towne House include:
- Providing Entertainment–entertaining
with music, reading, playing games, or simply visiting with
residents
- Medical Support–passing ice water
to health center residents or transporting residents in need
of assistance to and from the dining room
- Office Support–filing, providing computer
training to residents, or assisting with bulk mailings
- Environmental Support–watering plants
or assisting with wardrobe inventories
- Activities–Assisting with exercise
classes, gardening, or crafts
